Novo Nordisk values stakeholders’ reviews of the company's reporting and welcomes any questions or comments concerning the report or the company’s performance. Send an email or get in touch. We recognise that reporting is just one element in our communication with stakeholders. The objective of reporting is to enhance stakeholders’ valuation of the company, be it financially or in terms of reputation and trust. Independent studiesNovo Nordisk will commission independent studies of the report, with particular focus on assessing the value of integrated reporting as a means of enhancing accountability to stakeholders. Exploring the boundariesThere are obvious benefits associated with integrated reporting, but also challenges. And there are dilemmas that remain to be reconciled. For instance: - How to report on all issues considered material to diverse stakeholders and yet maintain a readable and manageable reporting format.
- How to be accountable to shareholders, in compliance with the current regulatory framework, and yet still meet other stakeholders’ information needs.
- How to report in accordance with legal requirements and voluntary standards and yet continue to innovate communication with stakeholders through the report format.
Novo Nordisk will continue to take part in the development of reporting and corporate accountability as an active voice in the debate. Share your viewsDuring 2006 Novo Nordisk will continue to develop the materiality criteria for reporting. Send an email if you want to share your views on how Novo Nordisk’s reporting can improve in terms of materiality, completeness and responsiveness. |
